I will definitely buy PPaint this year.

For some reason denying the existence of other Amiga OS4 capable machines that their software can run on is very disturbing to me.

PPaint is developed by A-EON now so they're going to promote their own hardware in their press releases. Not mentioning other compatible hardware in the press release is hardly denying said hardware's existence.

What changes are there to version 7.3?

While I'm agreeing with A-Eon, but, i really don't see a "compatible with AOS4.1" or requirements "needs AOS4.1 compatible computer"
Or something like that.

The TmpRas buffer was allocated via the custom CreateBitmap function
this worked on AGA/ECS but and AmigaOS4 but when run on other RTG
systems, the buffer was of an incorrect memory type. Now allocated via
AllocateRaster when 'SafeDisplay' is set. Fixes freehand and polygon
fill tools on RTG systems.

But..
1) Everytime I double click PPaint's icon it still pops an ASL screenmode requester. How to avoid that?
2)personal_req.library is almost like its .debug in size. Not stripped? And if it has been updated why doesn't the $VER gets bumped?

It saves the settings on first exit. So you must quit the program. This prevents you accidentally choosing a dud mode and then rebooting because your monitors is out of sync or something, then not being able to start PPaint ever again

Or ofcourse you can explicitly save the settings once started if you are happy with them, you will need to save both environments in that case.

Version isn't bumped because no significant chnage was a made, which would require a version check.

how do you compile for PPC code BlitzBasic?

Personal Paint (PPaint) is not written in Blitz Basic. You may be thinking of Perfect Paint (PfPaint) which IIRC was developed using AmiBlitz.

Hmm.. I feel little stupid, but I can't see how I can download the new version from AMIStore page? There's only Register in Account menu, but no Login or such, and PPaint link has only buy option, but not update.

And that A-EON Secure Download website doesn't list it either, only some RadeonHD and X1000 stuff. But seems if I try to download any of those wrong files I finally get to the page where get the PPaint update.

Maybe some fine tuning for user experience is still needed :)

You need to open the AMIStore App Store program on Workbench, login and then click on My Purchases and Downloads. Then click the PPaint entry that is listed to download the new version.

The AMIStore website doesn't offer direct downloads.

Please add 32Bit-Screen for PPaint.

Why?

When switching between my 32Bit screens and PPaint comes next, my TFT-Monitor (or RadonHD-Card?) needs 2-3 Seconds to switch to that 8Bit-Screen.

That is most disurbing.

Btw i bought previous Version for OS4.
