| Very pretty Amiga, that. Why is it that I always end up skimping and getting a shoddy case? I really should make more of an effort! _________________ Folding@Home Team AmigaWorld no: 33424

| Very nice. I don't supposed you'd like to add a list of what parts you used (manufacturer and item) and where you got them?
I was going to assemble my AmigaOne on the cheap, but looking at that system you built.... hmmmmm. _________________ AmigaOne X1000, A4000(T), A3000, A2000, A1200(T), A1200, A500, CD32, Minimig+ARM, FPGA Arcade, Chameleon64, C-One, C128, C128D, C64C, C64, VIC-20, CBM 8032, CBM4032, Efika, Ultimate64

| To herewegoagain:
Pretty good on all accounts. Those are the pieces of hardware except that the DVD and CDRW are LiteOn brand.
You should have noticed as well that the tower is full of the round cabling. There are 2 IDE and 2 floppy cables in there. The brand of them is "Coolmax scorpio" They are Ultra ATA-133 capable, and do not have a keyed pin - meaning they will work on AmigaOne systems that have all 40 pins on the IDE connectors.
... and nah, I'd keep it for the hell of it. Regardless, she said that she likes it, so that's a good thing :)
To mountainmyst: The thickness of the compound was about that of a sheet of paper. Still might be too much though, but the HSF gets nice and hot now vs the slight warmth it had before.
To drafter: The case (at least here it is) sold as "NGEAR TK6500TMB 18 inch - Temp sensors/front USB/Firewire"
Thanks for all the nice comments, and feel free to ask anymore questions. I'll try my best to answer them. _________________ Amigarevolution.com

Right, and I wasn't sure which brand you used, but LiteOn is not too bad for a cost efficient brand. We use them in some of our system builds at work, and they are usually very reliable. Of course, I prefer the LG brand for most of my CD/DVD stuff, but that will add a bit more to the cost.

Nice! And here is a place where you can purchase them. BTW, I did notice that you used these rounded cables, just wanted to point that out to others..

Hope that helps guys! |

| Although I generally find a lot of case mods rather ugly, the one in the gallery looks very slick .
Well done! |

| Yes, I agree with my brother regarding PeeCee mods, however, this one is particularly nice. Seems like those living in the US and Europe are able to obtain nice and elegant PC towers, paricularly befitting an A1. _________________

That´s it! I am moving to Europe!
I am not sure, but my brother may have told you all that I want an A1400 mock-up computer, ie. an Amiga FOrmat mock-up of an AAA computer comp. Looked superb, I think in issue 49. _________________

| Did you get the "Icy docks" caddies with the case? I also have two in my case for my A1
Nice review and nice case
