If American Yeahronimo is a subsidiary company then they're only moving money around in the company.

They could be doing this for a number of reasons, tulip may need a large sum of pengar right now or they may be working a large scale scam (wouldn't be the first time) before they retire American Yeahronimo or maybe it's what it says in the translation Quote:

which at a guess means they believe Commodore will be worth this much at least in the future?

In the end I really couldn't care because this has nothing to do with Amiga anymore anyway.

Over at amiganews.de someone claimed to have access to a warehouse with all scematics of all the custom chips/circuit bords both on paper and tape (including some Amigas that were never released) plus much more Interesting stuff from Commodore (like 5k A1200 chipsets, mainboards, manuals of all kinds, almost all the documentation that was ever archived at Westchester, ...) that was 2 months ago.

Jens Schoenfeld and Harald Frank seemed to be interested in getting all those rarities but I don't know if they did.

Amersfoort, 27 December 2004


Tulip Computers NV (Tulip Computers) signed a Letter Of Intent (LOI) with Yeahronimo Media Ventures Inc. (YMV) stating that Tulip Computers sells her subsidiary Commodore International BV for an amount of ? 24 million. With this takeover YMV will get full control of the brand Commodore in order to further develop a worldwide entertainment concept.

Selling the Commodore brand is one of the initiatives deriving from the core activity Technology Sales. This activity is focused on both commercializing technology know how and intellectual property rights by starting license contracts and partnerships, mostly in combination with the introduction of new product lines.

Transaction
Both companies will during the forthcoming weeks, including a due diligence investigation, based on this LOI conclude a final Agreement. The takeover concerns the immediate transfer of all rights concerning the brand Commodore inclusive the current portfolio, the recently started projects and partnership agreements. The guaranteed sales price of ? 24 million, which partly is related to future revenue of Commodore activities, will be paid in installments latest at October 31, 2010. Tulip Computers expect a contribution of approximately ? 4 million for result of 2004.

Immediately after signing of the formal Agreement, Tulip Computers will deliver the majority of the shares of Commodore International BV to YMV. The delivery of the remainder of the shares of Commodore International BV will made in installments according the realization of the agreed payment schedule. Besides the initial transaction parties agreed that Tulip Computers will remain active in the sales network of YMV including a supportive role in the development of Commodore. Tulip Computers also remains the right in the net proceeds deriving from infringements made on intellectual property rights in the period before the transaction.

Growth Strategy
This transaction allows Tulip Computers to focus more rapidly on the targeted growth of the remaining core activities. For Tulip Computers expansion and innovation of the current portfolio is an important aspect of its strategy. This means that there will be a strong focus on the expansion possibilities inside and outside Europe for its constantly growing Conceptronic brand. Besides this expansion, the Commodore transaction creates the opportunity to speed up the development of the recently acquired tablet PC product line. Tulip Computers? subsidiary in Taiwan, develops and distributes these innovative tablet PCs worldwide under the brand name PaceBlade.

"Manual in the original unused and additionally still all at all ever diagrams and note from Westchester, archived by Commodore. approx.. 120000 A4 sides as copy when desired also on volume (however in the Unix and/or Mentorformat and only with Apolloworkstations readably. The 500 volumes lie still in NY in a Warehouse hermetically packed.)
There everything is drauf which in Westchester on Tape was present ever. Documents and/or Schematics of the computers like e.g., never built, A 2200/2400. Was an intermediate part from A2000 and A4000. However due to of AGA never one built. All diagrams and mechanical designs of the CD 32 variants never built. Besides the VHDL files of the AKIKOs and the Lisa. Yes, those were converted in Westchester times to the fun by 2 people on VHDL and fit beautifully into a Xilinx FPGA. All Schematics (A3 copies approx.. 5000 sheets) of the logic (those were drawn still all beautifully as Schematics) of Alice/Agnugs/Paula(ohne analog part) Agnus/LISA, Budgie etc. etc. /Denise/Fat. Actually of all Customchips. Collection is complete up to the analog part of the Paula. Also still there so approx. 5K chip sets are. To build all necessary around a A1200 and/or a CD 32. So approx.. 10000 Akikos and 5-6 K printed circuit boards CD 32 fly also still rum. Can you times announce:)"

I can confirm part of this story and clear some things up.

1st.) the chipsets are not lost, many backups are around.

2nd) All this stuff listed above was purchased by Escom that went bust. This is where things get confusing. My understand from all the docs I have, is that all this material (on paper) was transfered to "optical storage" by a former east german firm for Escom. They were the former east german police spy organization and Escom contracted them, cause they were good at it.

Did they finish the job, get paid unkown?
