Emmm....

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Socket AM2 has "End of Life" (Purchase) date of Q4 2006. The EVO spec seems to be “dead on arrival" by time of Q4 2006/Q1 2007.

@d0c

Would you apply “crap x86 boxes” if POWER7 runs on the same AMD PC (Socket enabled Hypertransport) motherboard infrastructure?

Note that IBM's Power7 chip may use Opteron** motherboards. **AMD Athlon 64 FX "4X4" recycles Socket F motherboards.

@Hammer

I'm sure they'll replace the cpu used with a more current one.. Thats just the way things work with x86 chips, they all only have a shelf life of a few years at most. The AM2 socket is still an up to date socket so it's not really a big deal.

Seems like Envizions switched over to Mirrors Evolution as their OS.
It is a Linux-based OS currently compatible with Fedora.

I wonder if Amiga Inc. have the same plans for OS5.
