@Hypex

so your like a bee piper of the 1980's, and you got a long hard joystick for all your amigas, you dont care if they got bee hives you can work the stick at that meeting.

hahahahah

Anyway

So I take it your coming along also again, as always. You know, I only missed it once this year. the amiga meeting naturally, not the two live crew.

I wish I could come!

Unfortunately, I live very far away.

Don't have any fellow amigans over here either, but I guess I'll live through it.

My best regards to all the hosts and the guests. Keep the faith alive.

Cheers

Have you been wearing your sunglasses at night? Nice to meet you. Are you talking about the OS4 Roadshow? Technically that wasn't Amiga so that leaves Canberra '99. Where we partied like it was 1999, almost.

lol
it was a roadshow, you're right ;)

Yeah I was asking questions like "It will be soon right?, we're not going to have to wait another 10 years or anything." To which I got replies like 6 months, well, yeah I think it was 8 years later we got os4 hahahah what a joke!
I still can't believe no one got excited about the AMIGA 2nd coming. I know I held my breath for at least 3 years.

Typical Amiga roadmap. Forget when the OS Roadshow was but we got the OS4 pre-release in 2004. I wrote a review on it. I called that year "2004: Year of the OS." Perhaps they waited so I could make a play on words like that. Hmm, can't see it in the history books, did wonder if Amiga should have been in there.

Unfortunately it doesnt look like I'll be able to make it after all. Shame, I was looking forward to it, I even cleaned and updated my AROS install and installed some more software, etc. so I could give a proper demonstration of AROS on a reasonably fast (core2duo@3.86ghz) fully supported system. I dont suppose anyone who drives who lives near to Ballarat is going who'd care to carpool ?

@Fishy-Fis

That is a shame, I was looking forward to meeting some new faces and gear.

We may even have somebody bringing a mac to this meeting, and it isnt Hypex's old MacOS

haha

May I ask why you decided not to take the train ride in the end?

well, Im off to the dentist, hopefully nothing serious awaits me.

Cheers

It's not that old, IMHO. Only 10.4. Okay 10.5 is on PPC. But the latest 10.6 is not.
