News   News : Ars Technica reviews OS4 and MicroA1
   posted by DrBombcrater on 18-Jan-2005 7:20:20 (10206 reads)
Respected tech site Ars Technica has posted a lengthy and rather positive review of OS4 PR update 1 and the MicroA1-C.

"Will Amiga, Inc. and KMOS succeed where Be, Inc. and so many others have failed? It is perhaps too soon to tell, but the story has been more than interesting thus far."

@Toaks

Just got to put it all together now, new keyboard and mouse arrived today. Going on a date tonight, been about a year since I last went out with a girl! (2005 is shaping up to be a pretty good year so far ). So A1 will have to go on back burner for now, hoping to get it built tomorrow morning, can't wait to boot OS4 for first time .

It's on /. now though as you'd imagine, quite a few of the comments are negative.

Aye,

Slashdot appears to be nothing more than a website for bitter and disillusioned people

IMHO

@Mikey_C

Slashot is a well of unlimited bile and vitriol. If the posters there hate us, then we're doing something right!

And the Ars review just got a mention on The Tech Report.

Yes, full of the usual arrogant /. comments. Always playing 1337.

Man, there's too much positve energy in this thread

Where's the drama, comspiracy theories and doom we've come to
love in amigaland? KMOS payed this guy to write that review to boost
their non-exsistant stock so they can cash in on some phantom
deal with a PDA manufacture and investors, then scuttle the OS
for good!

.... Just kidding. Boy it been fun to be amiga for the past 16 years.
I feel if I say any thing positive I could jinx it.
