hardware OS4   hardware OS4 : Eyetech site updated

Quote: "Yes, its true. After much nagging from our customers we've finally started the restructuring of the site, in line with our transition from Amiga retailer to wholesaler of PPC-based board level products, notably the AmigaOne range. As well as supplying AmigaOne produ ucts to other dealers we will be spending an increasing amount of time directly promoting PPC-based board products into industrial and commercial applications running OS4 (out of preference) or Linux, as appropriate"

Look at this.....

Quote:
We have received the last batch of 'Earlybird' AmigaOne-XE G4's (7455 cpu @ 800MHz) before the Earlybird offer finally finishes on 31st March 2004. After that time AmigaOne purchasers will be charged sep parately for the OS4.0 when released. AmigaOne boards will continue to be shipped with Debian Linux-PPC until the end user release of OS4.0 is available.

If you want a free copy of OS4 you better get one soon.

Great, positive news posted on Friday the 13th Nah, I'm not superstitious at all Okay, let's rock and roll!

By the way, does anyone know where to get those plastic spacers used to built that MicroA1 inside a Sanyo case? I'll bet soon we'll see all kinds of AmigaOne casemods appear on AW

Yay! Excellent!

But there doesn't seem to be much information available about the A1 in general, now does it? At least not as far as a proper presentation of "things Amiga" goes..or did I miss anything?

Of course, there are links over here, which is good. But still, a decent intro would be nice. Though, of course, it's really, really, really much better this way than what the site was a few days ago.

I knew it!!

The MicroA1 (which I really really wan't) is released almost as soon as I got an A1-XE, how typical.

Anyway, it's good news and nice to see Eyetech updating their site, now they just need some new design and an update of the rest of the site

I don't link those kind of case, i prefer case A1200 style, also i don't undestard the Radeon 7000 choise

The different prise between 7000 and for example 9200 chip is very little, aniway i love this MicroA1, much better than the "old" AmigaOne
