   posted by shoe on 12-Jun-2004 12:13:29 (5309 reads)
The date for the party in Stockholm has just been verified. It will be the same weekend as in Landskrona, 18-20 June. I.e. NEXT WEEKEND!
With a little luck we will have OS4 running on five diffrent Amiga models: A1200/A3500/A4000/AmigaONE and the /Micro AmigaONE!

What the heck !?
Is this the black A4000-Prototype ?
I remember having seen one at the last AUGS-Meeting in Basel.

A3500 is as far as I know the "prototype name" for the A3000T. What I've seen of the A3500 it enjoy the same motherboard as the A3000T but it sits in a Commodore PC tower.

Shoe is the dude to ask fo details though, hope to see it again at this party.

Shoe deffinitly own a A3500 or at least did last time I checked... had a nice CyberStormPPC in it so I think it's that machine who will run OS4 for us. :)

@ Brian

Yep, you're right... shoe definately does have an A3500, I distinctly remember him telling me about it not too long ago here on AWorld in some thread. But I can't recall which one though.

OK - I was planing on going to venice - but being currently unemployed it could create probs with jobs when I say can I have that weekend off..

So I can convert the flight over from venice to copenhagen for an additional £36.72 - that the nearest place I can get to sweden. How do I get to where I need to from there? How much is the boat / train over. Am trying to do this on the cheap so I can bring #### loads of beer with me

Train from Copenhagen to Landskrona (probably need to switch train in Malmö). In Landskrona take the number 1 bus to "Pilåkern" (takes aprox 13min and your trainticket will work here aswell). From there it's a 2 min walk.

The hole trip cost 130 Swedish Krons or apros 10UK£ in all.

Are you telling me that A classics amiga with PPC card will also run it
ie I though that the A1 came first then the PPC-Classics would come later

/Pray
please please please please please please please please say its so
/Pray

Of course if I had of thought about it I would have realised that it would just looking a little confirmation

@Bobsonsirjonny

It starts at 18.00 on Friday and ends sometime at the afternoon on Sunday. There's a few (8 if I remember correctly) sofas aswell as a few (3-4) comfy chairs available if you need to crash for a bit (sleeping usually goes in "rotations"), a "lowspec" kitchen and a shower available so a B&B is not a most. There's a store and pizza restaurants no more than 4-500m away so foor should be no problem either. Bring some $, a sleeping bag, clothes and perhaps something soft to lay on in case the sofas are all occupied and that should do it. The locals, that's me amongst a few others, are willing to help best way we can.

@aldur

As I understand it, the PreRelease OS4 is going to run on A1's and the Micro while the Classic range will run the latest OS4 betas available for the betatesters.

Last I heard the classic machines are not far behind actually... I have a hunsh that when the full OS4 launches that it will be available for all PPC Amigas at once... I pray my hunsh hold some truth.

You can see an A3500 quite clearly in the C= engineering offices in The Deathbed Vigal. In fact Dave makes a point of saying "We actually use Amigas in our work" when he films it.

the A3500 is a prototype that never got released, it's a mix between A3000D and A3000T. You can see a picture of it here if you want to. Notice that almost no jumpers are marked.. but, shoe managed to get it running with OS4 last fall.

Someone asked if the pre-release would work on classics. The answer is NO. We "just" have a few betatesters in the game with us.. so those who'll be there will see the latest snapshot of OS4.. :)

@bobson
naturally we'll pick you up at the trainstation.. we'll talk about that, I'll give you some cellular numbers etc :)

Sorry for the late reply guys. But yes, it is an A3500, or at least that\s what the mobo sais. And it\s quite different from the A3000T mobo. It lacks a few circuts

And yes, I've been running OS4 on it for about a year (As a beta tester. And it works fine.)

@Bobsirjonny,
Soo damn cool that your're coming! I'll buy you a bear!

[EDIT] I'm not gonne correct the above, I will actually buy you a Bear!!! [/EDIT]

p.s. reflect is updating our site with an English section, it will be done in a few minutes ...
