My god, Shoe, you really are ugly :)

Otherwise a great movie. Looks like it was a lot of fun.

One thing I noticed was the windows seemed to appear...slowish, as in, not instantly. Like they currently do an a not too shabby classic amiga. Was it my eyes playing tricks on me, or? I'd think that with that kind of power and a native P96, it should be possible to click a drawer and have the window open like 'snap'.

Sincerely,

-Kenneth Straarup.

It tow different issues, you can't view the improvements by opening a directory that uses 68k emulation to read and render icons,

The one thing I so where the gadget list where selects different settings, it looks like gadget redrawing has improved 100 times,

I find it strange that when they resized the window, the redraw where just like on my system, it most be refresh issue of some kind. (I do not use sold resize on my system)

There is no more 68k emulation involved there. However, it's using PIO mode which is much slower than it could be, and hogs the CPU as well.

I don't understand what you mean?

Maybe he's referring to the resizing of the Xaos window, where I had switched off resizing with contents (Xaos currently has an issue with that setting).

Later -- or was it earlier -- we did switch it on, e.g. while messing with the MUI settings window, as can be seen.

Best regards,

Niels

Now I can use linux to see it but I have only my old A1200??? I can't

Does someone have the wallpaper from the AmigaOS4 machine right after they eat cake?

I can't wait to get my AmigaOne ITX with OS4.

@Tuxedo, The thing is I DID do an mpeg version at first. But that one didn't play with Moovid in OS4 so I did the DivX's and they worked FINE with OS4 native Moovid.

I still have the mpegs and I'll upload them again for you. Since you asked so nicely

Yes, I do

Actually, it's really old hat. It was on the OS 3.5 and/or 3.9 CD(s) under the name boingblue or something, maybe blue1024 in a drawer named Boing or something. I think Martin Steigerwald renedered those originally. The window backdrop is called water and is in a drawer called Artistic or something.

It's just my long time favourite for daily use, together with the choice of red for the borders (now, in OS4, with a gradient, but I've used that colour since OS 2.x). I know I should probably have switched to one of the "official" looks for the demo, but ...

Oh, BTW, I did scale that boing backdrop up to 1280×1024, probably in either Photogenics 5 or fxPaint.

Best regards,

Niels

The mpegs should be in place now. The low and med are done, the high (370mb!) is ETA 1:45.
