Do you play Starcraft and Diablo2 with MacOnLinux?

I saw it, and now I have good reason to start the cumbersome linux install.
MOL is fantastic. Both games were fully playable.

@ikir

I also brought the expansion packs for both games, as well as
Alpha Centauri w/Alien Crossfire
Caesar III
Civilization III
Icewind Dale
Myth 2
Tropico

All of which works well with the AmigaOne. For a full list of software which has been tested with MOL, go here.

@Gopal

Let me know if you need any help setting it up.

What an excellent report. It shows there's still a good bit of interest in things Amiga from those in the outside world. Well done, Kay.

Damn i need a new fixed distro for A1 (my 9200Se doesn't work on YDL and Debian Woody)!
I love Starcraft and Diablo2. Kay i'll need your help when a new better distro comes out.

@ikir

No problem, just send me a PM or email if you run into trouble.

Have you considered getting a Radeon 9100, btw?

Thanks mate!

I've added a small gallery (with comments) to the report now. You can find it here.

Congratulations to the show organizers for pulling this off. Amiwest is known to occurr on the last weekend in July every year, and they don't get a hundred visitors. With such short notice I am amazed that you get that many interested enough to attend. It sounds to me like Norway is hungry for Amigas.

Good report Kay, thanks. It looks like they did well.

Yes, I think we are as surprised as you, although we had some suspicions.

In addition it helped to announce it at the local university where quite a few people are interested in odd computers ;) The line-up of C64 all the way to Peg, A1 and mA1 might have helped to get all kinds of Amiga interested people. Old fans, diehards still in there and even the newcomers.

The most important thing with this gettogether in my eyes was to finally gather some of the remaining Amiga people just to show them there is more life in the Amiga corpse than for a long while.

Some of the positive effects are frequent get-togethers for people living in the area and lots of experience for the next show ;)

Thanks to everyone that helped out, and to everyone attending.
