Events   Events : Ottawa Amiga Show - more than just a bunch of geeks!
posted by Anonymous on 19-Nov-2004 22:03:26 (2182 reads)
Well, okay, maybe mostly geeks, and hopefully many of you will also be joining the after show party at Patty Boland's!

What a better way to end the day, than in the Abbey room, away from the football fanatics {or with the option to join those Grey Cup fans if desired }?

I have been at all of the Ottawa Amiga Shows, and the after events are as fun as the day itself - if not more so !

If you come into town Friday night, you can have a pancake breakfast on the Sparks Street Mall at the new CBC broadcast center Saturday morning.

from their website:

CBC Game Day -1: Saturday, Nov. 20

You Are Invited!!  It's Free, It's Fun, and It's For the Whole Family

Please join us for the CBC/Radio-Canada Game Day -1 celebration on the Sparks Street Mall. Fun for the kids and the whole family. Listen to Rob Clipperton on In Town and Out from 5:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on Radio One, and come down to the Mall for the fun. It's free, and it's our way of sharing in the Grey Cup excitement!

CBC/Radio-Canada Grey Cup Pancake Breakfast 8:00 - 10:00 am
Pancakes, hotcakes, flapjacks- whatever you call 'em, we've got plenty. Watch celebrity 'flippers' try their luck; tuck into a stack of pancakes covered with maple syrup. Juice for the kiddies, coffee for the adults. And it's free.

We'll be in this area of the city: http://www.byward-market.com/

Maybe you can even see the cup in person, as it is out on the town every day from 8:00AM to midnight.

This is what all the fuss is about :
