| The video is definately impressive (and so is Crisot's fast use of the mouse ). It seems that OS4 is definately on the right track. If only Eyetech would sell an expandable motherboard again That's the only thing keeping me from ordering...

| WarpOS/3D, it's a bit confusing.. Isn't that something Haage & Partner owns, have Amiga Inc. bought the rights for it, or was H&P doing it for AInc? Is it a 3D API, like Direct3D? If so, why have two systems... Is it partable with some other 3D API? (If it's a 3D API) The other 3D API is MESA, an OpenGL clone from Unix/Linux, or? It's not ready to be used yet? Which system is most complete, do some of them have support for shaders (HLSL)? Yes, this is a bit out of topic, but.... |

Warp3D has always been and will always be owned by the team behind it, that is now Thomas and me. There used to be Sam Jordan, but he left the Amiga for good quite some time ago. H&P was very supportive of the project, but never owned it.
WarpOS was owned (IIRC) by Sam Jordan, but I am not sure about it. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail

No idea if there is any way to measure FPS in that game. It certainly is fast, but it used to be quite fast on the CyberStorm as well. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail

Warp3D was never owned by Haage&Partners. It was done by Sam Jordan, former employee of H&P, Hans-Jörg Frieden, and me. We had help in the form of access to StormC beta versions, though, but it's our own
It's a 3D API much like Direct3D, but much more low-level than that. It's main purpose is to abstract the 3D hardware so you can use it uniformly, especially in the context of a higher-level graphics system like OpenGL
Currently, we have MiniGL, our own small OpenGL implementation, and Mesa is being worked on.
We are also working on the design of the successor to Warp3D, which will have support for shader hardware. _________________ Thomas, the kernel guy
