Events   Events : ACGGbg's EasterHack
   posted by shoe on 24-Mar-2005 23:01:54 (4383 reads)
This weekend it's time for ACGGbg's EasterHack. If you're in the Gothenburg area don't hesitate to drop by for some friendly Amiga chatting. For more information about where & when, take a look at this thread at safir.amigaos.se forums.

See you there!

We've got some cool stuff planned, lots of AmigaONE's with OS4 running, at least two betatesters with the latest Petunia/Warp3D stuff going. Movies like Tron, WarGames, Hackers and Swordfish and the CD32 on 2m screen. It'll be a blast!

And I can guarantee this party will have lots of chicks!

Nice pic. Saw the wall but not the fly? Certainly hope to see some of the sights. Don't know how much time over I'll have though. Know about the toilett paper but when in rome do as the romans! That's what I've heard they say?

@Steff

Yeah, what i heard was that the chinese people never use their left hand when they eat, go figure.

The president of the company we visited had a very good sense of "Dasshumor", dunno how to translate it to english.

Also prepare to eat, and eat and eat alot. I think we ate 4 times the first night we arrived, and if we didn´t learn to use chopsticks we didn´t get anything to eat. Amazing how easy it was to motivate learning.

Anyway have a nice trip.

@olle

"interesting" tidbit:
The chinese ideographic sign for "left hand" is based on the sign for "work", while the sign for "right hand" is based on "mouth". And they are (on average) left handed.

This weeks pet peeve:
Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.
