Internet News   Internet News : First two participants in Dev Contest
posted by elwood on 29-Mar-2005 21:20:30 (3630 reads)
Hello Amigans,

I would like to welcome the first two brave participants in this contest: Sam Crow and Hitman/Code HQ. Check their project on the contest page.

Also some people have been disapointed that there was only one prize. It's corrected now and the second prize is made of:

- one S-ATA controller card with Silicon Image 3112
- one S-ATA 80 GB harddisk.

Both contributed by the only one Soft3.net. Thanks Max.

As you can see the rules of the contest are not that restrictive and these two participants will probably be followed by a lot of other coders in the future.
So don't hesitate and start coding now!

Yeah, probably more "silly" than "funny", but still, a little sillyness is good now and then.

@Toaks:

Didn't recognise you without the ugly face, man.

Anyway:
So you're going to give away my A1200 to the guys behind the best OS4 demo now, eh? Shame on you!

This weeks pet peeve:
Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

ACE!

After this pretty lengthy thread it's nice to see someone has decided that it could be a good idea.

Good luck to both Sam Crow & Hitman/Code HQ with their projects.

FuZion.
