Events   Events : AmiTron 2005: Show report
posted by nicomen on 4-Apr-2005 1:08:44 (2466 reads)
AmiTron 2005 is over and yet again it turned out a success. Around 100 people paid a visit, and the floor was crowded during the entire show. After the show people enjoyed a spendid dinner at the Tyholt tower, ending a great Amiga show.

Kay Are Ulvestad has like last year written a thorough show report with accompanying pictures.

More pictures and video footage is available in the photo section.

More info about the show is available at http://ami-tron.org

We've re-encoded the timelapse video in standard MPEG-1, so that most movie players will display it. I should have tested the video on several computers before choosing an mpeg-2 format that worked in Xine, MPlayer and VLC, but not in Frogger, Windows Media Player and Quicktime Player. Now it should work on all those.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, folks, it is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for those who missed the event. For what it's worth, we'll do our best to put together an even better show next year. AmiTron is here to stay.

I'll be making a photo gallery (with comments) at some point, like I did last time. Unfortunately, it will have to wait for a little while, as I really don't have the energy right now. Woke up this morning with a strong fever. I'll make the gallery when I recover.
