Internet News   Internet News : Tales of Tamar - The great war of Annarow
posted by abalaban on 4-Apr-2005 12:20:10 (2170 reads)
On Feb. 25th the Tales of Tamar annouced the opening of subscribtion for 'The great war of Annarow' which should start on April, 2nd. Unfortunately on April 1st there was only 14 people (100 on each side was required).
Thus the ToT team let one week more to subscribe and lower to 50 participant on each side.
I think this is a great initiative which may let the opportunity for each camp to fight eachother in a funny way (more than insult each other on forums).
Also there is a new Amiga client on the site.

I see the game doesn't use TCP/IP for its network play. How is it to play this game? Do you have to wait for the turn to end?

Just for the record, Total Chaos may be played with or against the Amiga cpu players
right on your Amiga without need for PBEM or TCP/IP.

Total Chaos may also be played with friends on your team against the cpu players.
Or you can play against your friend(s) during a party at your house
(many people claim this is the best way to play.)

So with Total Chaos you can do 200 turns a day, no problem.

I am not sure it is a good thing to do this in the form MorphOS users vs. AmigaDOS users, I think there is already enough rivality between the two camps. Having more rivality may do nothing good for the communauty. I think it would have been much better if they did it in the form developpers vs. users or if they mixed people of both systems in each team.

YoungestAmigaBeliever : I quite agree on this one (as a very bitter-of-the-division-but-satisfied-nonetheless MorphOS user ;)
