hardware OS4   hardware OS4 : Amiga Center now Official AmigaOne repair centre!
   posted by Amont on 23-Jun-2005 10:22:37 (3092 reads)
Amiga Center in France is now an Official Repair Centre for AmigaOne motherboards, in addition to the USB/DMA fix for the XE.

If your XE has had a fit of the vapours, or your µA1 has got the sulks, then don't hesitate to contact Jean-Jacques Boulet (in French or English) for more information. BEFORE you send the mobo, obviously !

@Toaks

You can always try. If it's something other than the CPU that's gone bye-bye, it's not impossible.

@ admins

What about placing the URL to AmigaCenter near the A1 dealers on the right? Or elsewhere to keep it under one's eyes.

So did I. Not to take away from the work they are doing, mind you, because many have reported properly working boards after "the fix". As someone else pointed out, however, the announcement does state that they are an official AmigaOne repair center, meaning that they can do more than just "the fix". Maybe Helgis could send them his XE board.

No. But this "Amigaone dealer" section on the right could be renamed "Amigaone hardware", you put the listbox with all dealers and below that you put a "Amigaone repair center" URL.

@Herewegoagain

Exactly. They can fix whatever problem on the A1 boards.

My AmigaOne XE broke. Is there a repair center in the United States? I e-mailed Forefront, but got no response.

Is Amiga Center the best place to try outside of the U.S. ?

(yes, I already replaced the battery)
