Hardware News   Hardware News : Godfreys Blowout Sale
   posted by A1200 on 7-Jul-2005 23:19:43 (2645 reads)
Hi Amigaworld members.

They say "if in doubt, blow it out". I have some stock that I have a worrying number of, please buy it! Some of these prices are the cheapest on the 'net as far as I can see, so grab a bargain before they all go!

Maxtor 7,200RPM 200GB IDE Hard Disk with 8MB Cache - £55.00

CD-RW / DVD-ROM combo drive - internal - 52x32x52x/16x - 5.25" - IDE - black with software - £29.95

VideoSeven TFT Monitor 17" L17PS Multimedia - Silver / Black with speakers - £130.00

Kingston 512mb 133MHz ECC SD - should work with uA1 (refund if it does not) - £47.95

Antec Aria - MicroATX Case - £62.95

Carriage is calculated on checkout, based on weight and our current courier charges. Have fun, don't hesitate, these offers cannot last forever and some simply cannot be beaten!

Mike.

70 euro for a 512 MB compatible module sounds really like a bargain! I have an A1XE, is that module really for uA1s only? It looks like a normal DIMM from the photo, don't uA1s use SODIMMs instead?

@ Varthhall

That should help. Apparently (I was told on here) that A1's require registered memory but will work with ECC stuff too, I even recall the performance difference negligible too.

Perhaps someone can confirm.

@A1200

Are those Maxtor drives SATA or PATA. It says in the blurb "incorporates the latest features of the Serial ATA interface "

But doesn't mention SATA anywhere else AFAICS.

@Rigo

That is a copy & Paste error, they are 40pin E-IDE hard drives. I will correct the page, there are SATA drives on the site, but not on this deal.

Thanks for pointing it out. Just read though the rest of the specification, everything else is accurate.
