Please Note:
Sacramento is currently using Pacific Daylight Savings Time [PDT] not Pacific Standard Time [PST].

I believe this should also change GMT to -7.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

The live stream is going now, as well as the webcam views. Live stream sounds like alot of talking and shuffling about setting things up. The video quality is really nice... looks realtime.

mplayer only shows the first image, it doesn't play the video and displays in the output window several of:
A:-24327.7 V: 11.9 A-V:-24339.553 ct: 0.005 3/ 3 ??% ??% ??,?% 1 0

Hopefully I can see it with Winamp 2.95 (after several tries).

It would be better if we could see the screen.

@Toaks

Audio is set with levels at the source.
I'm afraid you must adjust the audio (volume) on your end.

Of course, if it were FOX, you would be saying "turn down the sound!"

Best Wishes,

Any chance the video has been saved somewhere?

Well, it was a nice day of news and show events. All around it was a good time. I feel a little disappointed. Kinda like Christmas morning when you've opened the last gift, and realized that you didn't get the thing you really wanted the most. I was really hoping that there would be some new hardware announcements today with all of the hints about the "busy news weekend". It was a tad busy, but I guess many of us were hoping for something really good to be announced about new Amiga motherboards or such.

Thanks to all of those who put so much work into making these events a success. I know that it takes alot to pull off such a sucessful show. Here's hoping we hear some good news about hardware soon. I think I'm even more depressed now that I cannot even purchase anything and OS4 seems to be at such an all time high.

Is there already some stuff available? Like audio from Richard's presentation? Or video for that matter.

If understood one of the Hyperion guys correctly (from the edited MP3) someone will anounce the new boards next week But they will NOT be available next week !

Edit: This is NOT the Mystery Device (tm)

Again if I understood it correctly !

Cheers,

Martin

@Coder

Yeah, I know. But it's like Christmas. Sometimes, even though you know there's not a snowballs chance you'll get a certain thing under the tree, you still hope that somehow it works out.

@Metalheart

Are you sure? Cause I haven't seen anyone else mention anything about new hardware. I'm sure that some of the show goers would have been bursting at the seams to be the first to "announce it" here. I hope you are right.

Yep I heard that but I think he said a couple of weeks, its about 38/40 minutes into the MP3,but as Metalheart also said still won't be available for some time

Thanks for the info. I listened (very carefully because there was so much "echo" in the recording) and advanced up to the 35 minutes line. Indeed there were some things said about new hardware, and other things:

1) Sounded like OS4 will be released by Christmas (Please correct me if I misunderstood)

2) There are other projects to bring Amiga PPC motherboards to the market which are still not revealed. The company responsible will go public in a few weeks with more information. But he couldn't elaborate with any more details.

That's what I understood him to say. So this is sounding better, and more encouraging.

No one at the show was directly involved with the OS 4 release schedule or any new hardware projects. Richard Drummond was empowered to represent Hyperion at the show, and did a damn fine job but he truly did not have knowledge about the release date or any earth shattering projects.

I want to really thank Steve Soile, Rich Dummond, Chuck Washburn and Brian Deneen. They where all very kind to me and extremely helpful lending a hand with things I could not do my self given my condition. With out there help there would have been no way I could done what I did.

I'd also like to thank the SACC user group for hosting AmiWest again. I don't think everyone understands how straining but from a time perspective and financially running a show can be. Brian and Chuck have shown their mastery of both those forces in this years show. A great many people would have decided to cancel the event when give the circumstance of the Amiga Community but they push ahead and trusted in their faith. Big hats off to them and all the members of SACC who donated their time. Seriously, if you enjoyed the watching my broadcast and listening to the show then take a few minutes and sent Chuck and Brian an email, let them know your out there and you'll be here next year! You can get their email address on the AmiWest page.

Thanks for tuning in and you know I'll be back next year :)

You are correct. The discussion about OS4 and new hardware came from the AmiGBG mp3 that's available for download. Sorry, we've intermingled topics from both shows. What I was sumarising was, once again, in the AmiGBG mp3 file that is available for download.
