I think it means the same in French. _________________ Site admins are people too..pooff!

| "Obligement" is the name of the magazine. There no special sense to the word.
It's a long story why we have called our magazine "Obligement"... |

Some would say that I was asking for you to tell that story. |

Yes, and some would say that I was agreeing with your possibility of asking.

| Here the real story :
One day in 1996, a friend and me would like to create a Amiga magazine. It needed a name...
Normally, all magazines speaking about Amiga were named "Amiga Magazine", "Amiga Plus", "Amiga Power", "Amiga whatyouwant", etc.
And we would like to be original : do not put the word "Amiga" in the name. After some days of "brainstorming", none of the proposed names was satisfying.
At this time, another friend often employed the expression "Obligement" in the place of "C'est oblig" in French. Of course it was a grammatical error but a strange and funny expression.
And we choose this name because of his originality, his strangeness and his fun. Last edited by Daff on 10-Jul-2006 at 11:45 PM.
