One of the yet outstanding shows on my wish list -- it won't be this year either, sadly. Gotta plan and save a bit more to get over there .

But best wishes for the show organizers and everybody else who will be attending! We'll look forward to following the proceedings at a distance.

BTW, I guess the news entry needs a bit of editing, it looks as if the same text is in there twice.

Best regards,

Niels

Well...it'll go down as a truly historical show if any hardware other than the Eyetech or CBM Amiga is shown running OS4...ready or not :D

Would have been nice to visit the states some time. Maybe visit a Amiga show
at the same time?
Too bad that I lack the funds at the moment.

For the right price I will mail you a stay at home vacation kit which includes:

A folding lawn chair,
A box of sand (taken from Metro Beach)
A heat lamp (you want it to be warm where you vacation don't you)
A cd with sounds of the waves as they hit the shore.
A fan, and a dead fish to get the proper auroma.

Then you just sit in the lawn chair with your feet in the sand box with the fish in front of the fan and heat lamp on while playing the CD, close your eyes and imagine you are on Metro Beach.

Wish I could go too, but I will have to wait till it comes more east of here. I heard the trafic there is like six lanes of parking lot. So I wouldn't try to drive or at least leave plenty early.

Hey, if S.Hut shows up, whoever goes, please ask 'em why they don't bother taking down all that ridiculous stuff from their webpage: I sincerely doubt they have new, in-stock A3000/4000 compat. PPC cards, and that Amiga Development System (500mhz K6-2) for nearly $2k? Puh-lease.

Hmm... Every year I put in for vacation at the end of July so I can attend. Then this year they moved the show to September. So, I got my vacation changed to September in order to attend. Now it is in October? I cannot keep up with them. I won't be there.

Yeah, exactly how I felt after I twisted arms to get my vacation changed to September then finding out now it is in October.

In fairness, I guess the September dates were speculative and I ran with it.

Oh well, I can miss one year. Next year I will be retired at the end of September and can go in October without asking permission. I just hope they do not move the show back to July in 2007.

I suppose that there must have been some sort of administrational reason for the alternate dates, possibly to be able to gather further vendors? In any case, none of these reasons would satisfy your disappointment at not being able to attend.

I am envious!

Now that would be Murphy's department and his blasted laws.
