@Giga
> It is possible to boot directly from the OS4 final CD and this is the recommended way to proceed.

It's not recommended but required, no? Otherwise the installation can't overwrite locked files.

@elwood
I think it is a requirement but I didn't want to specifically say so. I tried installing without booting from the CD and it got quite far so I'm sure one bright spark will find a way.

@all
Please boot from the CD - otherwise your system will break!

GiGa

Great guide, would be nice if it included how to upgrade U-Boot, but apart from that its a good guide

A 'printer friendly' version would be nice.

The guide says that Epistula OEM is distributed on the CD.

I looked, but no trace of it !!

Where is it ?

In the other hand, I don't care, I'm not a MSNthing client
IRC is my friend, and so is WookieChat

@DaveyD

Fair point, I'll work on adding that.

@RacerX
I was thinking of PDF'ing it and doing it that way but it isn't too difficult to make a "printer friendly" version of what it is already, I'll take a look at that too.

@Tonton_Pascal
Apologies for the confusion. The miscellaneous section in the guide is there for info not due to the content being on the install CD.

Epistula was also release over Christmas (latest version) hence I noted it there.

I'll take a look at all yoursuggestions and get an update out asap.

Great stuff giga! Thanks for putting together some docs for everyone. This is the kind of teamwork we need more of.

I'm almost done with the "printable version" - once it's done it will affect a number of pages on the IntuitionBase site (not all).

If it's well received I'll look at adding it to the rest of the site.

@RacerX et al
I've uploaded the "printable version" part of the site.

If anybody has a problem, please give me a shout!
