Internet News   Internet News : Aminet is back to "normal" mode
   posted by Ferry on 16-Feb-2007 9:33:57 (4688 reads)
As title says, Aminet seems to be not in restricted mode anymore, and it's back to the usual, normal work mode.
As you surely know, Aminet has been working in "restrited" mode for some weeks, i.e. no updates, restricted navigation and file info, due to some unknown server problems.
Now it seems that the problems are fixed.
You can find more info about those problems and the "restricted mode" here: http://wiki.aminet.net/2007-02-02

http://aminet.net/ Enjoy it!

We moved to a new main server, and a few minor things still need fixing - amongst other things the ADT server is not running yet.

Once its up again, it can be reached at aminet.net - this is the onle ADT server still working.

Yeah, those buttons at the top right which allow you to choose only the relevant architecture (also with finer tuning in "Setup").

It's not working at the moment.

EDIT - Actually it works from the setup menu, just not from the buttons. Maybe a cookie is being set when you choose "Save" and not when just clicking the buttons.

They *do* work, just not in RECENT (which is the first page you get displayed after clicking on one of these icons). Will be fixed soon.

It's on the todo list. But as your upload is the only ppc-aros package so far, it's not all that urgent

@sicky:

it should've been availabel all the time for downloading things though

@someone ele

arch filtering should work as expected now.

@all

resume and downloading big files from main server should work better now too.

So nice to see that my OLD work is still there :)

http://aminet.net/package/pix/misc/samauriAGA

I actually created the pic in 92, but found aminet in 93 :) I guess this makes me a veteran old school O-G Amigan.
