There's an article on OSNews about the release of a hardware
design that emulates the A500. It's called MiniMig, check it out at:

Now this would be awesome if this solution could be integrated into a motherboard form factor well fitting the A1200 shell with new peripherals and have both a 68k (ColdFire maybe?) and PowerPC CPUs on board (or add-on board) to make a new Amiga.

@Tomazkid/AmiKit

It's kind of the same as announcing an announcement.

Jens better hurry up with his Clone-A project, or someone's going to be selling Minimigs to that market instead! Sure, it might not be as accurate emulation as Clone-A, and maybe it will be more expensive & less professional, but Minimig might be *good enough* for a lot of people.

I've heard that Dennis van Weeren the author of Minimig it is in contact with ACube to recreate a minimig on the FPGA equipping Samantha Motherboards.

Buying a Samantha will give you a modern PPC computer, and could mount Minimig without problems as bonus.

And maybe in the future if the trial between Amiga Inc. and Hyperion will come to an end, then Samantha could also mount Amiga OS 4.0...
