posted by norm on 24-Apr-2003 14:59:56 (2105 reads)
Matrox yesterday unwrapped its latest Parhelia graphics chip, the LX, pitching boards based on the part at professional video editing users.

The Parhelia LX supports AGP 8x and up to 64MB of DDR memory across a 128-bit interface. The chip can support up to three DVI, RGB and TV displays.

The part will power two graphics cards: the Millennium P650 and P750. Both contain 400MHz RAMDACs capable of supporting resolutions up to 1920 x 1440 on analog devices and 1600 x 1200 on digital displays. The P650 provides dual monitor support; the P750 can drive two monitors plus a TV, or three monitors.

The Millennium P650 will sell for £117/EUR169 and the Millennium P750 will sell for £173/EUR249. Both cards in the Millennium P-Series will be available during Q2. ®

Hi Guys,

Sorry forgot to add it to the news submission, but does anyone know if Hyperion are working on OS4.0 drivers for it yet?

Or is that a bit premature?

Cheers,

Norm

IMO such questions are preferably asked in the comment section. So that's OK.

SciTech's SNAP technology will be used for AmigaOS4 and SciTech keep are fast with updating their graphic card driver support library.

"SciTech Flagship product, SciTech SNAP Graphics, is a robust display driver solution, with full 2D acceleration on more than 180 graphic chipsets."

My main thinking behind that comment is... Will Amiga OS4 have support for tri-head graphics cards?

If so that we be rather nice

It seems that Bernd Meyer had Umilator working with dual head Matrox using a modified drivers... I think that it would be possible with the right drivers.
