hardware OS4   hardware OS4 : 'Heroes' ported to AmigaOS 4.0
posted by spotUP on 3-Mar-2008 14:23:07 (5677 reads)
Porting for Profit ported another quality game to AmigaOS 4.0!
This time it's a nibbles clone, but don't let that fool you.
This game actually is a lot of fun!

Download pfp-hero.lha and have fun!

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Why all the latest pfp games always ask for SDK assigns ?

Which assigns is it asking for? I must say that I have never thought of trying the ports on an SDK-less OS4 install...

SpotUP: yes, it works perfectly but needs usr: and etc: assigns.

Do you really think we could say something false just for our pleasure?

I'm having some problems starting the game on OS4 classic.

The intro screen is running smoothly, just none of the Amiga keys or mouse buttons can start the game..... I assume it requires USB?

Spot: Never mind, I too sometimes read faster than I should. Thanks

The same goes for Random Shooter by the way.

@ Spot

Thanks for the new archive of Heroes. I've just tried it. But there is a SDK: assign just before the main menu is displayed.

Everything is fine for Random Shooter.

I wonder what's causing these problems - the SDK you're using Spot (for betatester), or perhaps the -lunix switch at the linking stage... ?

Download the version currently on os4depot, and check if it asks for SDK:
I removed ETC: USR: and SDK: and started it, no problem at all.
