Events   Events : MAG Bash 1st Nov 2008 - Hyperion in attendence!
posted by IanO on 22-Sep-2008 13:58:56 (4753 reads)
The Midland Amiga Group (MAG) are pleased to announce that the MAG Bash has been kindly sponsored by Amigakit.

This is good news as no doubt they will be bringing along loads of hardware for sale including SAM 440ep and OS4.1.

Today, 27 Sept, Evert Carton has emailed to let us know that he will be coming to the UK to attend the MAG UK event!

Classic users will not be forgotten either so this will be an opportunity to see Deneb, Indivision and Mediator TX plus Minimig and not forgetting OS4.1 for Amiga One.

Systems with these recent add ons will be up and running at the event as well as Amiga Forever 2008 and and Efika running MOS2.1.

As things progress announcements wil be made on the MAG web site: http://www.midlandamigagroup.info

What is important is that those hoping to attend pledge their attendance as we hope that will attract more exhibitors. We are actively contacting as many of the main players and hope they will come and visit us in the UK.

All user groups are of course welcome.

Update: 27 September 2008
Evert Carton has emailed us to let us know that he will be coming to the UK to the MAG UK event!
He is looking forward to meeting up with as many UK Amiga people as possible. So, If you'd like to meet up with the OS4.1 guys and then perhaps buy a SAM board and OS4.1 come along to the event on Sat 1st November.

Remember to Pledge your attendance to show the other big Amiga names that it's worth travelling to. At the moment the number of pledges is reasonable, but the more the merrier!

For more information view the MAG website Website

Has a date been decided for the MAG Bash? Hopefully the date will be after OS4.1 for SAM will definitely be available for sale...

@Moxee
Doh, no I didn't! Looked very carefully at the body of the news item & web site though! (Generally I expect the title of something to be a summary, rather than contain any unique info, so I didn't read further than "MAG Bash"...)

@ ChrisH

To tell the truth I thought the date should have also been in the body of the news item also, but it was fun to razz you.

Bloody typical...

The first show for 5 years within easy travelling distance (74 miles) and I'm going to be out of the country for the first time in 23 years...

We have a "Where" page on the MAG website, but basically Coventry is in the West Midlands, about 20 miles east of central Birmingham. Coventry has its own airport, or you can fly in to Birmingham International Airport, just a short train ride to Coventry. For the exact location, the "Where" page has a Google Maps link on it

I've added my name to the pledge list. I've been meaning to visit the Midlands for a while so this is my chance.
