Events   Events : Streaming information available for Amiwest 2008 broadcast
   posted by tekmage on 14-Oct-2008 18:52:03 (2830 reads)
As with years past I'm planning on broadcasting the Amiwest 2008 show from Sacramento, California starting on October 17th. I'd like to thank my partners, Intuitionbase.com, Amiga.org, Amigaworld.net, and NovaDesign. (Read more)

This year we will have Webcam, Audio and Video streaming available. As always the quality of the service depends greatly on the quality of the network available at the hotel. Members of SACC have been working with the hotel to be as prepared as possible. Fingers cross for a trouble free broadcast.

You can find everything you need to access the streams at ugn.amiga.org. For more information about Amiwest check out the Prez's blog at: amigaprez.wordpress.com/

See you online!

Just curious, but was Amiga contacted about appearing or contributing to the show in any way?

It seems odd that they've fallen completely off the radar and even stranger that no one has had any dialogue with them.

AInc hasn't been to the show in years, nor have they been missed.

Blunt, but to the point..

I hear the sentiment loud and clear, but I'm still puzzled by the silence. We haven't even heard an "in an e-mail from Bill..." message in eons. Surely someone must have pinged them?

@ne_one

AInc abandoned Amiwest, not the other way around. Silence, to me, indicates that they have nothing further to offer the Amiga community. Bill McEwen is free to come to the show, but I don't think he would enjoy the experience. He lies better then my rug!

The invitation to Amiwest has always been given to them.

Thanks for doing this. Let's hope that the venue will give you a stable internet connection with the required bandwidth.
