| According to Lilli Tomlin, there is nothing like a Hoover when you're dealing with dirt.
Thanks for the update for OWB. Last edited by Moxee on 15-Dec-2009 at 01:11 AM.

| Seems good so far!
I wonder if OWB should have alternating "stable" & "unstable" releases? The "unstable" ones would add new features, while the "stable" ones would only contain bug fixes. Would avoid having to stick with an ancient version of OWB, because of bugs introduced in various newer versions...
Tried the Firefox2Like theme, but I thought it was horrid. IMHO the original theme is more "Firefox like"! _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue...

| Great! Will try later!
Two request:
1)would it be too difficult to add an "open link in background Tab" option? The current one opens the tab but switches the focus on the newly opened tab, I like to open several background tabs before checking them out (this feature is present in iBrowse).
2)Would it be possible to have a "global" bookmark window instead of the current one which is "local" to the tab that was "on" at the moment it was opened? On my new widescreen monitor I have a lot of horizontal space so I keep the bookmarks window opened all the time, the only problem is, it is "connected" only to the tab that was "on" at the time I opened the Bookmarks window: when I change tab and click a bookmark it will open in the original tab, not the one I am using at the moment (basically I have to close the bookmarks window and re-open it from the new tab, otherwise all the bookmarks i click will open in the original first tab).
Those two are killer apps for me _________________ SamFlex Complete 800Mhz System + AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4 Amiga 2000 DKB 2MB ChipRam GVP G-Force040 Picasso 2 OS3.9 BB2 AmigaCD 32

Worth mentiong that IBrowse either invented tabbed web-browsing, or got very damn close (it certainly preceeded Firefox!). _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue...

Yeah, I do this on my 1280x1024 screen, and it is a pain.
Something else I would like to see: OWB currently repositions the page view to meet any #anchor location specified in the URL, even while re-layouting the page for newly loaded images/etc, which is good. But this can take some time, and I may wish to scroll further down the page, and cannot do so because OWB keeps moving me back to the #anchor location while it is re-layouting the page. Would be nice if OWB cancelled this #anchor behaviour *when* the user clicks on the scroll bar.Last edited by ChrisH on 15-Dec-2009 at 05:35 PM.

| It's more stable here, it doesn't seem to eat RAM like before (VM stopped kicking in) and I'm rather sure it's even faster: thanks, Joerg! _________________ RETREAM - retro dreams for Amiga, Commodore 64 and PC

| Thanks for the on going work. I hope the issue where the pop up cycles gadgets don't work (are blank) are fixed eventually. No luck for me in this version, still broken.
This could be my cookies as well. Is there a cookie converter? Or should I modify the new file by hand and hack my settings in there? Noty a good solution for the modern age. Will check this out.
Back to V1 fo me. |

Well that may be a bit hard. I use this site to send an SMS. My ISP: http://lizzy.com.au/
But to test it out you will need numbers in there. Don't really need to send anything. Just need it to record the numbers. Confirmed the cookie file is a bit hard to fix. Looks like I will need to put all the numbers in again by hand. Argh! |
