Lots of dates in there. Is there any truth to them or just hopeful thinking?

Can someone from Hyperion confirm if we will be seeing a PPC native Intuition July 5?

And what's this about a release by the end of Sept?

P.S. I used a Babelfish so I might be getting some of this wrong.

Hi,

Eine CyberstormPPC Version sollte noch Ende dieses Sommers kommen,

So OS4 for the A1 can be seen out at the end of this year? That's a pretty long time if you ask me.

The interview states that a CyberStorm AmigaOS4 release is planned for this summer and that the AmigaOne version is also expected to be released later this year. No exact dates were given.

With regard to September Jürgen stated that there are already Amiga shows/fairs planned for the Netherlands and Austria.

End of the year is what i expected. This means another half year waiting for me. But it is just a computer

I still think that 2 years for AOne would be quite a big achievement, given the current climate, the additional work, the finances,...

I will keep my final judgement until they actually release the cyberstorm version though (strange things have happened when Amiga is concerned). Once this is in the shops, then i think we will be pretty sure that the AOne version will follow. And at least some will already have the pleasure of actually using it.

Considering the fact that Gateway, Escom and others failed with a lot more cash and ppl behind them, i find it acceptable.

Let's hope that they actually do manage to finish the cyberstorm version this summer.

The release of the Cyberstorm version first should bring in much needed money. The Early bird offer for the A1 covered the cost of the OS - I don't know if the money has been passed on or will be billed when copies of OS4 are released.

I wonder if the long wait is associated with bring more features from proposed later revisions into OS4.0?

Also, (to Hyperion) I may have missed this but will the SNAP drivers be included in this release of the OS?

Cheers

If I remember correctly, SNAP will be included in the AmigaOne-version of OS4 but not in the Cyberstorm since it's limited to PCI.

Unfortunately not yet... so it may be a little misleading at the moment. I just wanted people to check out OS4...
But it WILL be powered as soon as I have OS4 on the Cyberstorm and the A1

Thanks!!!

Sorry to hear that.
