Congratulations over a major release!
I got issue here, known with Icaros 1.2.4 - when I try to boot Icaros CD via an USB-attached CD-ROM on my Samsung N130 netbook, CD gets invisible by AROS when it takes over control (i.e. after GRUB).
Is there a chance that this issue persists no more with most recent Icaros? I ask because I just downloaded latest Icaros 1.2.x in order to try. _________________ Amiga 1200 + WARP 1260 + AmigaOS 3.2

Using an external Samsung CD-ROM as well, no problems so far with 1.3.
I just entered the BIOS settings and selected boot from CD-ROM first. Last edited by Shufflepuck on 02-Jun-2011 at 10:14 AM.

Thanks for the comments. But the issue here is kindda different. My Samsung does see the USB CD drive on boot but when AROS kicks, the said drive becomes 'offline' (see: USB stack).
Which Samsung do you use in particular anyway? _________________ Amiga 1200 + WARP 1260 + AmigaOS 3.2

I have an external DVD writer model SE-S084D, white version:

It's nice because you can also hook it to an USB enabled TV and playback DVDs directly Last edited by Shufflepuck on 02-Jun-2011 at 01:49 PM.
