| What kind of amiga can this emulate?? is it limited to 7mhz 68000+ecs chipset or does it allow you to use faster cores? |

| If only SinclairUK would make me some money, I could buy one of those
I spent my £3 million on advertising, i did
I love that people create these things and one day I will buy one of these especially since it can also be an amiga, that's convinced me to get one of them instead of a 1541 ultimate. _________________

| Potentially good news. The minute the Chameleon MiniMig AmigaOS core can access the built-in Ethernet-port I'll be all over this. _________________ That'll Put Marzipan In Your Pie Plate, Bingo 💻 Pro-Amiga, 🌍 Pro-Globalism, 🍅 Pro-Vegan, 🛦 Pro-NATO & 🇪🇺 Pro-Joint EU Defense Intervention Initiative

| In standalone mode Joystick ports will be available by using the upcoming docking-station:
Quote:
The Chameleon cartridge can also be used in "standalone" mode. All that is needed besides the cartridge is a USB power supply, a PS/2 keyboard and a VGA monitor to have a complete working system. However the Chameleon doesn't have any joystick connectors (as it was designed as a C64 cartridge where the C64 machine will provide the joystick ports). This limitation can now be solved by using the optional docking-station together with the Chameleon cartridge.
It provides 4 joystick ports and two keyboard connectors. One keyboard connector is for a C64 keyboard and the other for Amiga keyboards. The Chameleon has full control over the LEDs on the Amiga keyboard. All 4 joystick ports support a secondary fire button for extra flexibility. Actual support for the offered joystick features varies for each emulated machine. |

I was going to say the same thing but then I found this info
When asked about RR-Net support for the Amiga side, Jens Schoenfeld wrote: Quote:
Not going to happen. It would require a sana2 device that talks through a bottleneck (low amount of registers) through an 8-bit port. This is SLOOOOOOW. Even the X-Surf with it's parallel interface and 16 bit data bus is extremely slow, and it has highly optimized drivers. Still, it only reaches "barely acceptable" speed. An RR-Net driver would have to busy-poll, because IRQs do not work with the CS8900 chip in 8-bit mode. My prediction of performance would be "so far below acceptable to count as showstopper". I am not willing to pay a programmer for something like this, and with nobody from the open-source community having even tried, it seems I'm not alone with this opinion.

| I know it can be easily navigated to, but why is there no Canadian direct link listed. You can choose it from Amiga Kit's site but it's never listed in this forum. My fellow Canadinas and myself can't help but feel a little left out.

| Great thingy! I guess it'll become my xmas present Regarding joystick ports: I'm not a hardware guy, so forgive me if it's a dumb question, but wouldn't it be possible to add support for USB joypads? To simplifiy things: support for the Competition Pro USB should be more than enough. Last edited by Daytona675x on 13-Nov-2011 at 04:47 PM.

The Chameleon will use a new RRnet that I dont think has been released yet. The post you saw about the Amiga and the RRnet was regarding the existing RRnet for the c64 and the and a real Amiga with a clockport.
BTW there was a person working on getting the c64 older RRnet working with the Amiga. Not sure how far they got but it was doing something. _________________ A500/030 40mhz with A530, Indivision ECS, , KS 3.1, 2 Megs Chip, 8 Megs fast. There will be a docking port with a few goodies on it. All the details have not been released but here is picture
I hear something about a500 and C64 keyboard connector as well. Not sure what has changed from prototype to what might be final production.

| I'll swap my fake company, SinclairUK for one of these, now that's a good deal for somebody, you pretty much get a password for weebly and what ever fanboys I have acquired. _________________

| I got mine on Saturday. It's awesome! (Cheers AmigaKit!)
I have mine plugged into my C64. I've tested out a few games and demos and it all seems to work really well. Video and audio output is perfect.
One piece of advice: Update the firmware/core before you try doing anything with it, it will save you a few headaches. _________________
