The magazine Obligement publish today a report about futures versions of AmigaOS 4.x and MorphOS 3.x as seen at the Alchimie 111111 show (November 11st-13rd, Tain l'Hermitage, France).

The article is in french and presents some of the possible news of the next versions of these operating systems. Thanks to Alexandre Balaban, Fabien Coeurjoly and Philippe Ferrucci for their help.

I guess I will wait for the manual translation to English before reading the report.

Also hope that there will be a real English translation, not the Google translate.

Images help very much. Nice small improvements for OS4 and big ones for MOS!

I'll hope for English translation too since I don't understand much French.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Maybe it just me, but an article about possible new improvements one day doesnt exactly strike me as news worthy.

Are we really that desperate for news that we resort to hypothetical articles?

One day Id like to maybe add some extras to my amiga software too,.... can I have an article please? :P

This is a report by an attendee at a Amiga demonstration, of what he saw.
Not what was announced.
Not what would be available when.
Nothing official.

Constuctive criticism is always helpful, negative criticism is a waste of time.

A few Workbench update in there which will be appreciated by many.

* Picture preview integration into Workbench windows
* Text preview integration into Workbench windows, not really helpful just eye-candy really - but nice to see nonetheless
* Context menues include color icons... nice to see Mason's icons being put to good use - next we need to see them in the top-menu... there has already been talk on Amigans that FF will require these in addition to more sub-levels
* The AutoInfo improvement sounds useful
* Re-size a window from any corner.. just like Apple introduced finally (being the keyword) into Mac OS X Lion

... the final point suggests more standard mouse pointers being introduced which will please developers.

Likes how UAE is translated to United Arab Emirates. I had to think for a second there. ;)

Relax guy, I was joking based on the choice of words:

"The article is in french and presents some of the possible news of the next versions of these operating systems".

The only feature I want at the moment is "not being able to crash the operating system, even if you wanted to do so desperately"

True because it wasn`t official but user demo. And it revealed something that will become more official in time.

I don't see why it says the translation is unreadable.. It is not perfect, but i understood it just fine still.
