   posted by nikosidis on 7-Dec-2011 21:37:20 (5322 reads)
I'm happy to tell you that Sami have made intel-gfx 3D driver for AROS.
The driver is in beta stage but already works nice.

have a look in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTH0DJ8nUQU

Running on ACER Aspire One 110.

Look out for AspireOS update before xmas, that will include Intel-gfx Gallium 3D driver.

Thx a lot to Deadwood and Sami that made this is a reality.

To be honest, with this, then the paper cuts initiative and the 68k Aros work and fully supported Atom systems, Aros is seriously becoming a main player. Once the stability whilst massively improved matches the others it is time for people to look at Aros as a main player.

@clusteruk
Don't forget 2 important areas on which aros need some love still: desktop area (even workbench from aos3.1 is better) and the whole design (what refers to Zune and possibilityes of Zune, so , its one more area to work).

Once it will done, together with stability and fixes of all those many minor issues, then yes, it can be cool.

Always somebody wants to burst my bubble

Well if Aros developers have proved anything is that work continues.

@ClusterUK
:) Just to early to say about "major player", when its luck something 100% necessary and which more or less fine on os4/mos.

Through, as a positive note, can say that soon one aros dev will take Zune bounty, and i will help him to make all of this at normal level of mui3.9-4 (and that will mean a muiowb port as well).
