software Classic   software Classic : New CodeAudio release by OnyxSoft
   posted by Deniil715 on 11-Feb-2012 0:37:47 (2397 reads)
OnyxSoft releases an update of CodeAudio!

CodeAudio v3.10 - (68k) Full-featured GUI for audio encoders (MP3/OGG/FLAC/AAC/A8) with a wizard and CD, CDDB/FreeDB support.

Read more...

- The Wizard can now skip already encoded files from for example a half-encoded CD.
- Added a new converter and player for the Amiga optimized A8 format.
- Reorganized the encoders/decoders/players into groups to make it easier to overview.
- Changed the wizard Extra High mode to use stereo mode instead of j-stereo.
- The wizard can now create recursive target directories.
- Made the subtask communication more rubust which fixes some autodownload/update bugs.
- And more...

If you see a bug or have a suggestion, please don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail!

i never got around to report it (i used it earlier this week), the auto update function said there was a new update and with older versions it would auto download and install that but with the version i have it just pretended to download and install it so next time i started it up it still asked me if i wanted to update.

i will try it again today and see if this update fix it.

PS:great prog, i love the wizard!

@all

Thank you very much

@Toaks

Maybe it updates another executable than the one you are using? Or perhaps it is write protected or something like that..? However, I did fix some stuff regarding the autoupdate. Earlier versions had problems with subtaskMUI communication.

I agree! Thanks to Daniel and his great auto-update feature introduced in TheMPegEncGUI (former name of CodeAudio) the AmiKit has this feature too!

@AmiKit

Yep, i wonder why Daniel never release it as standalone software
I know it's primary designed for the AmiKit's suite but it could be pretty nice to use also on other system

Well, as you said, it was specifically designed for AmiKit and will only download AmiKit specific updates. Not very useful for other system I think.
