posted by Ryu on 19-Sep-2012 20:27:31 (1869 reads) |
Know of a great classic application from the OS3 days that runs on your AmigaOne? Have a tip to share about AmigaOS 4.x? Well let IntuitionBase know about it and you could win a free twelve-month subscription to Amiga Future magazine! Starting from September 20th, the person who scores the most points at IntuitionBase through submissions to our databases wins. The winner will announced live at AmiWest in Sacramento, Sunday, October 21st.
Click the "Read More" button --->
The rules are simple: the person who scores the most points, wins! Here is how to score:
1. (1) point is awarded for every edit made to an existing entry in our software or hardware compatibility databases 2. (1) point is awarded for every link to a site relevant to next-gen Amiga users 3. (2) points are awarded for every new entry to either our software or hardware compatibility databases 4. (10) points are awarded for every feature-length article on a topic relevant to next-gen Amiga users to be published on IntuitionBase
Our thanks go out to Amiga Future magazine and Andreas Magerl for their generous donation of the grand prize; to the AmiWest committee for continuing to hold such a great event for Amigans year after year; and Bill Bosari for allowing us to announce the winner on air.
About IntuitionBase.com We are a not for profit organisation originally setup in 2004 when we launched IntutionBase.com. Our purpose is to help Amiga users around the world and to raise awareness in the next generation that is the AmigaOne line of computers and AmigaOS4.x.
About Amiga Future Amiga Future is a bi-monthly print magazine that is dedicated to all things Amiga. It has been in print for 15 years and is currently available in both English and German print. Originally printed with a colour cover and B&W pages, since issue 94 it has been printed in full colour throughout. There are currently some 50 volunteers who dedicate their time and passion to bring Amiga Future to print, and it currently has a circulation of approx 700 copies every run. The magazine also comes with an optional CD and it is one of only a handful of printed Amiga orientated magazines left in the world. |

| Nice, nevertheless I would like to see an extended hardware section that includes the Pegasos II and the Cyberstorm-/Blizzard-PPC systems. _________________ X1000|II/G4|440ep|2000/060|2000/040|1000

yeah, i need to put up pages on all the amiga NG systems since the eyetech days, but haven't gotten around to it. for now i've at least got links up, but it's coming. we'll also reinvigorate the amigaos section, particularly trying to get more customizations (icon packs, wallpapers, themes) posted as well. i'd certainly welcome any contributions toward these to-dos, by the way, if you or anyone else is interested.

the goal is to make the site as useful and helpful as it was in the eyetech days. amiga NG is really picking up steam -- despite a few naysayers -- with tons of great software, new systems (and more to come), and better infrastructure being provided by hyperion. so we want to help in that resurgence which has been slowly building since the beginning of 2010.
