software OS4   software OS4 : SysMon v2.2 : last release on OS4Depot
   posted by zzd10h on 15-Oct-2012 13:06:53 (1813 reads)
Hi, I have uploaded the last release (2.2) of SysMon on:

OS4Depot

In this version :

-Max In/Out network bandwith added in the System tab (I liked this feature in the very nice Massi's NetSpeedometer)

-Refresh of information only on visible tab (less useless system calls, thanks Elwood !)

-At startup, tabs are populated only when selected (again, less useless system calls)

-Use of APPDIR: to localize wget tool to retrieve external IP
wget doesn't need to be in the System Path
(thanks Javier for this tip)

-Add of 2 ToolTypes to specify the opening mode of Volumes & Assigns drawers
the opening mode of Volumes or Assigns elements ('Open' button or double-click), can be setted
WBOPEN_VIEWBY = DEFAULT (default), ICON, NAME, DATE, SIZE, TYPE
WBOPEN_SHOW = DEFAULT (default), ALL, ICONS
By default, no changes, Workbench defaults.
(thanks to Scripjester for this remark)

-Add of ToolType STARTHOSTNAME (ON/OFF, default ON)
to bypass the name resolution in the Netstat tab, if it causes troubles (symptom can be that Netstat is very very slow, noticed by 1 user)

-Fix a bug who avoided to set PRIORITY=0 by ToolType, Priority was forced to 2 (Default).

-Fix a bug who could cause DSI crash in Picasso96 library during Graphic card information refresh.

-At startup, 2 users (at least) have noticed a Recoverable Alert when clicking in the System tab (during the OS jingle playing).
I'm unable to reproduce this problem but NoGuru (at least the version 2) seems to hide this alert.

-Remove of all the STARTxxx ToolTypes (except the new STARTHOSTNAME), who are now useless.

More infos in the README.TXT
Thank you for your feedback.

You are welcome Samo79 :)

Thank you marko & ddni,
It's very kind...

If someone have some ideas of features to implement on SysMon, I'm interrested (if it's feasible, by me, of course)
Thank you
