| 2 PCI sockets are not enough, I think most people will notice that after some time with this Mediator board.
Gfx card, Sound, Ethernet, USB2 card etc... Don't know many people where 2 PCI sockets are enough.
And yet another release from Elbox that mentions future SHARK upgrade but with no news about the SHARK itself :( _________________

Good thing that it can be expanded with two more pci slots then.

That is really all I would need, peronsally. As I have a BlizPPC card and BVision, all I really need is a good sound card. I am using PCMCIA LAN atm, so prob swap over to a PCI based one. I don't think I need much more then that.

Guess I should learn to read more carefully, thanks for pointing out that it could take 2 more cards after an upgrade.
(Wonder if that upgrade is delivered at the same time as the Shark? ;)
Btw: Elbox do make some very nice products! _________________

| Shame it is still quite expensive, would have been nice to see this come out for £50-£70 pounds (inc vat). Would bet alot of people would upgrade.
Is it true that to use the SB card you have to have a Voodoo GFX card?

| In the prices it is included the MMCD.
In the AmigaMarket this is a very good price.
Yes i think you need a voodoo3 to use a Sb, but i'm not sure. Voodoo ram is uded by the mediator. Do you know a pc which a SoundBlaster without a Gfxcard? :)
In all cases a voodoo is the best upgrade for a mediator, aga can't even be compared to a Voodoo. _________________ ikir

The thing is that I already have a GFX card, a BlizzPPC on which does me fine. I don't need to get a Voodoo, I would get the 2 port Med for USB and Soundcard, but seeing as I would have to get a GFX card to, I can't see the point _________________
