News   News : Amiga Future 101 preview and excerpts are now available online
posted by AndreasM on 16-Feb-2013 12:17:27 (2286 reads)
The full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 101 (March/April 2013) are now available online.

Highlights in this issue are:

Roadshow
Digital Universe
Hively Tracker

Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you'll find some FULL versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as the PD software on the cover CD.

A detailed description of content and excerpts can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=article&k=4341

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue now available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

Congrats with the 101 magazine
I'm amazed you guys can find enough stories to write about, when I personally think the amiga scene is BORING LIKE HELL at the moment....damn i'm bored!!

Can't even find the motivation to buy into next gen machines because of the silence...

I know it is boring, hopefully we get a new vacuum cleaner with OS4 and the cheap laptop that is not impossible. We'll hang on. Then it's Hyperions move.

Personally I find it hard to find the time to try out all the new stuff, ok their not been that many big news stories and I can understand for people just following and watching the amiga scene it might seem a bit slow, but if you use OS4 we had a lot of software updates and goodies over the past few months, still need to find the time to try out the new AmiCygnix 1.3, runinDosbox, proaction, videoclipper, eGames etc on my Os4 and I also just managed to set a VmBox on my pc for the first time to have a proper go on the new icaros 1.5.1 distributions, and then of course I need to find time to update my web site, make another youtube amiga vid and work on improving my Hollywood skills and apps, oh and also scan the forums as well as work full time job, I tell yer their not enough hours in the day!

"Personally I find it hard to find the time to try out all the new stuff"

Same here!!!

In some ways it feels like being in the mainstream again, grazy!

I had all but forgotten about the 2011 announced laptop. I thought I'd see it by mid 2012. Sigh...

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

As much as I like Amiga Future, I think they need to re-consider the purpose of the review section. Many of the recent reviews have been extremely basic, telling you little beyond the purpose of the game/software application and the download location.

I realise it's difficult to critique a software product produced in a small community and made available for free. However, it would be useful to see an evaluation on the pros/cons of the software and some indication of how it compares to similar software on the machine.
