@Denil many thanks. Works well here.
Time to create some nice new icons for you .
If you want, i can create a new banner too, looking like more Os4.1

@samo79

Thanks. Will try to have a look at that tonight.
Can you share some of your thought here as well so we can see what other users think?

@tommysammy

Sure! Both new icons and banner are welcome

A suggestion or two...

Add sb600sata and sb600ide devices to the (S)VCD and DVD device cycle gadgets.
Add a save as / load option for custom prefs files. With the alighnment problems using comp mode I have to individually adjust zoom settings for each size video.

Bug: setting (S)VCD and DVD to Custom devices does not save the device name.

Sure here is my list of problems

BUGS

- Version command is incorrect, the program version is ok but the reference date not (it still refer to 12-September 2010)
- MPlayer control panel --> Menu "Control" --> "Go fullscreen" (doesn't work!)
- MPlayer control panel --> Audio slider (doesn't work correctly as the volume will be always toggled off) See also --> https://code.google.com/p/mplayer-amigaos/issues/detail?id=12
- The "Mute" option in menu while a video is in playing doesn't seems to work (but maybe this is not related to your GUI)

FEATURE REQUEST

- Added a direct "Play DVD" option in MPlayer GUI menu (Like the one in MUI MPlayer menu)
- Localization support

Thanks folks!
I'll try to fix the bugs and implement the suggestions.

But I think there was something about the volume slider that made it hard to fix. I seem to remember it was actually the arexx interface for transferring numbers in mplayer that broke or something. Can't remember, but AFAIR it wasn't trivil, but I'll have a look.

@samo79

Do you have the time to test the volume arexx command form a shell to find out what the new version of mplayer really wants? I can't run it on my X1000 since it doesn't have the cgx_wpa mode anymore, only p96_pip. And SDL crashes on exit AFAIR.

Yes if you instruct me exactly how to do!

I don't use cgx_wpa aswell, with the afxgroup's version of MPlayer and your GUI i'm still using the p96_pip by default, see grab: http://s12.postimg.org/fpslykvf1/mplayergui.png

And aniway by default on my Sam440 it is always in p96_pip even if in "video output" section i leaved it as "Default"

@samo79

Well, I can't remember neither the port name or the arexx commands mplayer uses, but I suppose it would be something like:
rx 'address=MPLAYER.1 SETVOLUME=50' maybe.
You have to do this while mplayer is running of course. I'll see if I can find more details when I get home.

About cgx_wpa; I need that on the X1000. p96_pip fails so I can't test this because afxgroup's mplayer won't run.

Ok i tried that one (using p96_pip and while MPlayer is running):

Quote:
6/0.AmigaOS4:> rx "address MPLAYER.1; 'volume abs 50'"
1 *-* 'volume abs 50';
+++ Command returned 20

And the volume was totally turned off, exactly the same as when i used the volume slider on the control panel, so there is no way to change the volume level as it's seems always considered as ON or OFF only ..
Pratically to have again the sound i need to close and reopen MPlayer

Ok right, however here i can't run the cgx_wpa, if i use it video will start but i don't have any visual output (only sound in background) and the volume slider simply doesn't work

I also tried with SDL driver, in this case i have the video output, but as before the volume slider doesn't work at all, exactly the same as with the cgx_wpa

@all

Glad you like it

@samo79

The problem with afx mplayer is that the arexx interface is activated in the video initialization for native Amiga modes, not for SDL. So in audio-only cases, and SDL, arexx doesn't work. The mplayer startup routine is soooo messy and I could not build it myself, so I had to make it simple by putting the arexx interface with the rest of the Amiga code.

I think the new version might expect a float, like 0.5 instead of 50. Or maybe a value in the range of 0-32768 or something (in this case 50 is almost silent). Please try some different types of values and see if you can find something that works. remember that the '/' and '*' keys (I think) controls the volume as well. Should work from the numpad.

cgx_wpa is not supported in this version, that is why I cannot use it on the X1000. Only p96_pip and SDL is supported, but in SDL the arexx doesn't work, and it crashes on exit, so I can't test it.

Mmm maybe for now we might ignore all the SDL stuff, consider that the most used driver is the p96_pip (then in order cgx_wpa or compositing in base of the hardware used)

I tried with 0.5 and similar value, but nothing happen so i think 50, 20, 10 etc type of value is the correct value in MPlayer, however the result is always the same, that command seems buggy and it will never increase or decrease the volume, but it will just set to "mute" and no matter if you retype the command --> the audio will be never turned ON

The same problem happen if we use the graphical slider on the control panel as i said in my first post

Yes that keys works perfectly
