Well, a 68020 and 16MB of fast RAM isn't exactly representative of the good old Amiga days.

Thanks Andreas for this update. In theory now is possible run games and tools for MorphOS and AmigaOS 4.x on old Amiga systems like 1200?

Any chance there will ever be a demo version? I'm really interested, but as well-priced as it appears to be, I wouldn't be able to spend 90 EUR without trying it for myself.

I know that Mark Sibly used a simple DEMO const to limit the amount of code you could enter on the early PC Blitzes (Blitz Basic, Blitz3D), and despite being trivial for hackers, it was still very successful. This could easily be used to remove key features from even appearing in the demo builds, while only needing a single constant toggled for release/demo versions.

I only say this because I'd really like to try it -- it must surely put others off from exploring further.

Anyway, looks really cool, and planar graphics is a nice feature update!

There was a windows demo version available for some years. With the latest release all platforms are merged into one, so there is no separate Amiga or windows versions. Maybe this is the reason why the demo is missing.
Amiga had never got a Hollywood demo.

I suggest you that look for applications made with hollywood and you will have a quite clear view on what the capabilities of this quite complex piece of software.

An amateur programmer like me got several years to figure out most of the possibilities of Hollywood. There is a lot of freedom in the language, and you can often several ways to choose and if it is the lazy way you take, then the performance can mislead you in judging the system.

If you want to spend your time to create programs on a next gen Amiga/Aros or windows/osx/linux and want to learn fast and want to port your work between these platforms then do not hesitate, buy it.

In other case maybe others can be more helpful.

Hollywood needs a big advertising campaing between amigans, this is the pending subject of Andreas for several years.

I think most of the possible Amiga customers are know it already.

It should be bundled with OS4 and MOS.

The Hollywood Player must are included like bundle.

Acube did a Hollywood bundle deal back in 2009.
