Yes it is but you need your partitions to be named DH0, DH1....... Not HD0 which was used when I bought my A4k. |

| Sounds like the games that only install from DF0 or DF1. Shouldn't matter. A new game that already needs a WHDLoad hack? What is the Amiga gaming world coming too? Some recent games can only run off floppy as well. Shame when the concentration is on how to run the game and not play it. |

I just wrote what I read in the readme, considering that I read it correctly. Yes DH0 are standard, don't know why the HD in my a4k was named HD0, I thought that Commodore changed it?
Anyhow, the readme tells you how and it isn't hard at all but sure, an installer is always nice. |

| I wasn't correct so from the readme
To install the game to your hard drive, simply make a directory with suitable file copying software etc. Then copy ALL the files and data from the game disk(s) into this directory.
However, to enable the game to find all the actual data when required, the directory name or path MUST be one of the following...
dh0:Wiz dh0:Games/Wiz
dh1:Wiz dh1:Games/Wiz
dh2:Wiz dh2:Games/Wiz
Your hard drive's ID may be hd0: or th1: etc. this is OK, but anything after this must match one of the above paths.
The game always checks to see if it can find data and files in any of the above locations first, before finally attempting to load from the floppy drive df0:
Once the entire contents of both disks have been copied to one of the above named directories on your hard drive, the game may be started in future plays by typing...

| So it tries to look for files in different locations, I know its written in BlitzBasic so I’m going to give it some slack, but way solve with is find current directory, this has to be done in two ways, it differs from CLI program to WB program, dos.library provides a function to get name from a file lock. While if its WB program you lock from wb_arg message, or something like that. _________________ http://lifeofliveforit.blogspot.no/ Facebook::LiveForIt Software for AmigaOS
