Interested to know more about new datatypes library. Can it finally support:

- stream sources like http-hld and DASH, rtsp
- progressive rendering
- container demux
- http and rtsp sources
- proper video formats
- standardised metadata

Thanks to everyone involved in making this new release happen.

I guesss no Radeon SI VA driver in this release but at least the power management is already implemented which Matthew told me needs to be enabled to access the UVD element of the GPU. Apparently they didn't know that while writing to Polaris drivers because they'd already done the power management before starting work on video decoding.

I wonder how long before Odyssey gets VA.library support. That will free up a lot of CPU cycles when using Youtube and any other supported streaming sites.

However it seems RX580 is not supported yet...Can't play FullHD Vidoes with RX580.. RX550 is able to play..

Sounds great, looking forward to installing, If I wanted to upgrade my R7 250X in my X5000 to something that is supported by VA.library what graphic cards are compatible ?
Any recommended Make & Model numbers ?

In the video, I run 2 instances of the Emotion v1.9 video player with 2 videos:

Prometheus - Trailer.mp4 : 1920x816 - H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (avc1)
Oregon's Water Colors TRAILER (mpeg4 version for MDRFF).mp4: 1920x1080 - H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)

And almost no CPU loading.

I think RX560 and cheaper RX550 is a safer choice.

As I said before, RX580 Warp3D Nova and UVD is not working well even after this update.

RX550 and RX560 models work with both the Video Acceleration Library and Warp3D Nova.
RX570 seem to work with the Video Acceleration Library but currently have problems with Warp3D Nova.
RX550 and RX560 models also working for both the Video Acceleration Library and Warp3D Nova on Sam460ex.

To those who already have the RadeonHD 3 driver package.
Ignore the updates in the "System" tab of Updater.

Instead go to the "My purchases" tab.
Check the box in front of "Enhancer Software Release 2" and press download. Then install the package again.

It is a bit confusing because this package doesn't show up as updated. But this is the way to install Enhancer 2.0 with all it's new tools and libraries.
