Man the specs! and early next year! Would be great to use for DVD playback, hopefully the many talented Amiga coders will enable it for us to use it as a multimedia solution thing. Just one question: Will a monitor be able to stand upon these mini-cases? Can they take the weight?

And it's being designed in Yorkshire - thats in Englandshire dont you know

Seriously, country name mistakes aside - this is great to see that it's being covered by this site. The potential for this little board of tricks is huge. The places where it could be deployed, the devices it could be used as a basis for. This has mass market appeal outside of the BAF user base.

I want one - two, ney, several. The ideas are just whizzing round my head.

Hehe, likewise. One for Bodie_CI5, one to replace his Xbox next to his bed (this is all in one room ), one to become the hub for a new home entertainment system, and one which I would take to uni to replace an aging PC. Also perhaps another one to place in the garage to control the telescope .

The Englandshire thing wasn't a mistake, it's a UK based website he is just having a laugh. I bought stuff from them a couple of months, they delivered it the next day, it's a very professional website/company and it's good to see Amiga mentioned there.

I'm not keen on those LCD flatscreens myself. I recently borrowed a 17" one from work while our CRT was being replaced. The colour definition was not as good, the number of screenmodes supported is less and the clarity of the image wasn't as good as the CRT. Needless to say, I'm much happier with a CRT

I have noticed on little error on the article:
Quote:
Specifications should be something in the order of: 170cm square Mini-ITX sized board; ...

170cm?! Blimy that is gonna be huge! Almost 2 meters square cool

@ cyberviking

It could be interpreted as two questions. However, it is a matter of prose, and of rhetoric. Although there are physically two question marks within the the post, the *questions* are singular in nature, for they attack the theme or subject from two points of view.

I hope this clarifies it for you, because it has confused the hell out of me .

Good to see a domino effect. Now Slashdot has picked up this report from Mini-ITX.com and hopefully this in turn will make the news spread to other websites as well.
