CR stands for "Cost Reduced" IIRC and means that the design was reworked for lower manufacturing costs. The motherboard of my late A4000/030 was a rev. D and that had A4000CR silk-screened on it. In that case the reduction in cost had been acheived by integrating the '030 CPU and Chip RAM into the motherboard.

From the second page it sounds like the cost reduction wasn't very successful so the new model didn't appear :(
