Well.....it will be the Amiga's 20th Aniversary in June and AmiEast in New York is on May 28 which is close enough. The original Amiga was also unveiled by Commodore in New York. So its end of 2nd quarter eh.....
(whistles)

Does anyone think it will never be released ?

It WILL be released [/when it's done/].
Though I would like to see it by mid-2005, but I can wait as AOS4Pre_Upd2 is already out... And THAT makes me believe that the full release is really closed and may even incorporate a few goodies...

I think at the end of 2005, maybe September or October, but maybe little before ...

I'm my opinion the release date is not too important, the important is that AmigaOS4 will be complete, stable and comparable to the other mainstream OS

I STRONGLY believe and the strength of this believe is so strong it is not even funny that AmigaOS 4.0 will not be released until 2008. This is how strong I believe it.

I voted not in 2005.
But 2006 is most defenatly possible.

But why speculate when we have the offical date

It appears I am one of the two optimists left in the Amiga community as I voted Q1 2005

But may be as a 2006 X-mas gift

I can't understand why people get all bent out of shape about this. The journey is what is fun! can't you kids just enjoy watching the development process. (and, for some, actually be a part of it!)

I mean, don't those of you lucky enough to have amigaONE's and uA1's get to add new files and play, play, play!
What is better than that?
I love seeing these improvments on there's systems when i go to meetings.

The OS has reached quite a mature state in my opinion since the 2nd update. There are some stuff left that would and probably will be updated before the final release. I think that Hyperion will reach a final release state before the end of the 2nd quarter this year. They just have to finish the last bits, and realise that there is some things that actually can be left for a later update. Hmm, maybe thats just me getting used to windows releases
