No one knows what's going on there or what will happen or whats left or gained. There's no use trying to debate this till it is resolved.
We can still do a product assesment and hope for the best outcome for AOS.
We know its still an active case, and thats its reached no resolution in years. Why would Hyperion spend time and money on a business plan assesment saying "gosh, if Amiga, Inc. magically drops the suit, do you guys think they'd have enough to loan us to do a x86 port?!"
We don't know whats going to happen in the court case or if hyperion can sue for lost revinue/damages or the opposite is true. We just don't know. For all we know, we may have just seen the death and the OS is over. It all depends on this outcome. I certainly hope the OS is not dead
