Well you have to pay to play then if you think OS4 is the only Amiga-like OS that works. Thats the bottom line right now.

Or you can support AROS through bounties to make it work as you want. If you offer enough money someone will do it. With enough money in bounties you can get anything done. Just offer millions from your own pocket, and then it will get done, just like you want it.

If you are not rich enough for either, well, sorry, but you just have to get used to being screwed unless something changes in the future.

eComStation is not dead. It is a closed source OS with official support from Serenity Systems, its maker.

And Haiku is not living in the past, its all about trying to improve for the future for those folks:
