the most diffrence between win 2000 and win vista is GUI and look.here need near no developer change his program.most programs work on win2k and winvista.

but what will do if apple or M$ have not design a API with new funcs that work with memprotect and there are developers that change their programs ?

OS4 and MOS have no GUI API for memprotect, so nobody can write programs for memprotect.OS4 only support to alloc protectet mem, but this can also done with mmulib on 68k systems.
the better mem system is less or more a marketing gag, and i think until OS4 reach full mem protect need more than 100 years, if they give not up developing before

maybe Anubis get a Amiga API for mem protect, i dont know, if there are enough that write software for this.

i think OS4 memprotect you can compare with win 3.1.
3.1 have too some area in protectet mem and privileg violation can occur.But first win95 get a new API for GUI sound graphic and other, when this use, there is memprotect possible in winnt and above.


so running 2 uae have better mem protect and need not much work
