Phoronix are running a story that open source drivers are to be released.

Will this lead to better drivers for OS4 inc 3D?

Looks like ATI are aimng Fusion at the Intel embedded market. after all, what would you prefer, Intel core and GPU, when Intel cant do graphics, or a code compatible (Effectively) more efficient AMD CPU, with a 5000 series GPU embedded.?

My thoughts were that it should give access to the latest hardware and a possibility of hardware 3D drivers (OpenGL)

Mind you, they quote 11000 lines of code have been used....... guess the guy writing Amiga drivers (Hans?) has a bit of reading to do......
